Water leak in the upstairs caused clear water stains in multiple rooms. Texas water doctor came out right away and was super helpful. Once here walked me through everything. Gave me reassurance everything will work out. Super professional, empathetic to my stress, more importantly had the personal touch getting more involved in helping remedy the situation vs the other guys how checked a few places and were in and out.

They do a great job, they are very knowledgeable about working with the insurance company and FEMA. I had called them when I had a few properties damaged from Hurricane Beryl and they were very meticulous in their work and had a quick turnaround for the job. They also have always been promptly responsive with any questions about the project. I had tried to call other companies but they gave me the runaround with quotes once I told them I was working with FEMA, but not these people. You can definitely call them for help in any area of Dallas or Houston and you will get great service. I used them for Houston, but they are located in Dallas. I would definitely try if you are in any other area of Texas as they may have service there as well.

Water Damage Restoration Fort Worth, TX

A lot of Fort Worth’s housing was built long before anyone thought about vapor barriers. Fairmount, Ryan Place, Arlington Heights, Ridglea Hills. Pier-and-beam floors, original galvanized supply lines, plaster walls. When one of those pipes lets go, the water doesn’t just puddle. It drops through the floor into the crawl space and sits there against old joists where nobody can see it.

When water sits more than a day or two, mold usually comes with it. If you’re already seeing growth, read how we handle mold remediation in Fort Worth, start to finish.

That’s the job we’re built around. KJ shows up, finds the source, and checks underneath the house before anything else. Extraction, crawl space drying, and contents handling happen in one visit when they can. Everything gets photographed and logged for your adjuster from the first hour. Newer homes out toward Alliance and Crowley get the same process. They just fail in different places.

How We Respond to Water Damage in Fort Worth

Aging levees, freeze-prone galvanized plumbing in Fairmount and Ryan Place, clay soil that never sits still — Fort Worth's water damage isn't generic. Neither is our process.

1

45-Minute Dispatch, Anywhere in Tarrant County

Whether it's a downtown high-rise or a Fairmount bungalow with century-old plumbing, we're on-site fast. The water category — clean, gray, or black — gets identified immediately, since Trinity River overflow and sewage backups need different handling than a burst supply line.

2

Extraction Before It Reaches the Crawl Space

Pier-and-beam homes across Fairmount, Ryan Place, and Arlington Heights let water travel underneath the house fast. We pull standing water before it gets into crawl spaces that are already hard to access and slow to dry.

3

Structural Drying, Mapped for Older Construction

Industrial air movers and dehumidifiers target every wet surface — including uninsulated exterior walls common in pre-code Fort Worth homes, where freeze-damaged cavities hold moisture longer than modern construction.

4

Contents Protected, Room by Room

Furniture and keepsakes come out of the wet zone before they soak through, get cleaned and stored off-site, and go back exactly where they belong once the space is dry — documented for your claim the whole way.

5

Restoration & Insurance Documentation, Built for Fort Worth's Risk Profile

We repair and restore to pre-damage condition and hand over full documentation for your claim. For freeze-related pipe bursts, that means the Winter Storm Uri paper trail carriers expect. For Trinity River overflow, we help you understand where standard homeowners coverage stops and separate flood coverage becomes the difference — before you're caught off guard by a denied claim.

What Happens to Everything Inside Your Fort Worth Home

Raised floors change where water goes, and what it soaks into.

In a raised-floor house, water doesn't stay where it started. It runs under interior walls, drops into the crawl space, and comes back up as humidity into everything sitting on the floor.

Furniture legs wick it. Rugs hold it. Cedar chests, quilts, and boxes of old papers stored in a back closet soak it up for days before anyone notices.

We pull contents out of the wet rooms first, before they start pulling moisture up from below. What can be saved gets cleaned, dried, and stored off-site while the house is dried and repaired.

When it's done, everything comes back to the room it came from.

Off the Floor First

Anything touching the floor gets moved before the crawl space humidity wicks into wood, fabric, and paper.

Dried and Stored Off-Site

Belongings are cleaned, dried, and inventoried in storage, so they aren't sitting in a house full of fans and dehumidifiers.

Back Where It Lived

After repairs, items go back to the room and the spot they came from, not stacked in the garage.

Family Pieces & Paperwork

Antiques, quilts, and paper records get special handling. Everything is photographed and listed for your adjuster, including anything that can't be saved.

Why Fort Worth Homes Face Unique Water Damage Risks

Fort Worth sits at the intersection of three serious threats — an aging Trinity River levee system, severe spring storms, and freeze events that overwhelm older Tarrant County infrastructure.

Trinity River & Levee Risk

Fort Worth's population has tripled since the city's levee system was built in the 1960s. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers determined that 86% of current levees are no longer tall enough to protect against expected flood events — leaving over 2,400 acres of established neighborhoods at risk until the $1.16B Central City project completes in 2032.

Winter Freeze & Pipe Bursts

Older Fort Worth neighborhoods like Fairmount, Ryan Place, and Arlington Heights have aging galvanized and copper pipes that crack under freezing temps. Winter Storm Uri hit Tarrant County hard — and Fort Worth's clay soil and poorly insulated older homes make every hard freeze a water damage risk event.

Clay Soil & Aging Infrastructure

Fort Worth's Blackland Prairie clay swells with rain and shrinks in summer heat — a cycle that stresses slab penetrations and supply lines year-round. Mature trees in neighborhoods like Mistletoe Heights send roots into aging cast iron sewer lines. Water main breaks along Trinity Boulevard have flooded homes without any warning.

Fort Worth Neighborhoods We Serve — and What to Watch For

Fairmount / Near Southside

Aging Plumbing + Pier-and-Beam

Older galvanized pipes fail without warning in these historic neighborhoods. Pier-and-beam foundations are prone to crawl space flooding after heavy rain.

Arlington Heights

Flash Flood + Historic Homes

Flash flooding near the Trinity River and aging infrastructure are top risks. Three homes on Western Avenue were demolished in 2024 after being deemed flood-prone — neighboring properties remain at risk.

Ridglea Hills

Burst Pipes + Vintage Homes

Mid-century homes with original plumbing are one of Fort Worth's most frequent pipe-burst call zones. Architectural character requires preservation-focused restoration techniques.

TCU / Westcliff Area

Student Housing + Storm Damage

Dense rental housing and aging infrastructure mean water migrates between units fast. Hail and roof leaks are common after spring storms across the TCU corridor.

Mistletoe Heights / Ryan Place

Root Intrusion + Sewer Backups

Fort Worth's most mature tree canopy sends roots into aging cast iron sewer lines. Sewer backups and crawl space flooding are recurring issues in these established neighborhoods.

Benbrook / Westover Hills

Lake Area + Luxury Estates

Benbrook Lake proximity means elevated groundwater and storm surge risk. Westover Hills' luxury estates require discreet, high-care restoration for high-value finishes and custom interiors.

North Fort Worth / Saginaw

New Construction + Storm Damage

Rapid growth has created new construction defect and foundation moisture issues. Spring storms flooded cars in Saginaw in 2025 — fast suburban expansion outpacing drainage infrastructure.

Downtown / Cultural District

High-Rise + Commercial

Commercial towers, museums, and mixed-use properties need rapid vertical containment. We coordinate with building management for multi-floor response and minimal business interruption.

Uri Froze Tarrant County Pipes in Hours. Raised-Floor Homes Went First.

The 2021 freeze caused catastrophic pipe failures across Tarrant County. Fairmount, Arlington Heights, and Ridglea Hills — with their aging galvanized plumbing and poorly insulated exterior walls — were among the hardest hit. A freeze warning is now a water damage emergency warning for Fort Worth homeowners.

  • Pipe bursts most common in Fairmount, Ryan Place, and Arlington Heights
  • Sudden freeze bursts are usually covered under HO-3 and HO-B policies if reported promptly
  • Mold establishes within 24–48 hours in freeze-damaged walls and insulation
  • We respond within 45 minutes anywhere in Fort Worth — 24/7
  • We handle all insurance documentation and carrier communication

What Each Water Type Costs in Fort Worth

Category 1 — Clean Water

Frozen Lines / Roof Leaks

$3.00–$4.00 / sq ft

Fort Worth’s clean-water calls usually start with a supply line or a frozen pipe. During the February 2021 freeze, the city logged more than 700 water main breaks, and plenty of homes split their own lines that same week.

Category 2 — Gray Water

Washer Hoses / Attic AC Pans

$4.00–$6.50 / sq ft

In Fort Worth this is often an attic AC drain pan overflowing in July, or a washer hose that lets go and drains straight into a pier-and-beam crawl space. It needs disinfecting, not just fans.

Category 3 — Black Water

Sewage Backup / Trinity River Flooding

$7.00–$7.50 / sq ft

Sewage and floodwater. Fort Worth tracks about 350 flooding hotspots across the city, and older neighborhoods with clay sewer laterals see more backups. Anything porous it touches comes out.

Fort Worth Costs by Room and Problem

Bathroom

Up to $3,000

In older Fort Worth homes, a tub or toilet leak often runs down into the crawl space before it ever shows on the bathroom floor.

Walls / Drywall

$300–$800

Patching a few wet sections lands here. Tearing out and replacing drywall costs roughly $1.50–$3 a square foot, and plaster-and-lath walls in Fairmount and Ryan Place dry slower and cost more.

Flooring

$200–$500

Covers drying and restoring floors worth keeping. Original tongue-and-groove oak in Arlington Heights often comes back; carpet pad and laminate usually don’t.

Crawl Space

Quoted on site

Depends on how much water is standing, the vapor barrier’s condition, and how tight the access is. Pier-and-beam homes make this a common Fort Worth job.

Burst Pipe Damage

$1,000–$4,000

What the plumbing fix alone tends to run before any drying. A hard freeze can split several lines at once, which pushes the total toward the top.

Whole House / Major Flooding

$20,000+

Class 4 damage, with walls, subfloor and framing soaked through, begins near $20,000 across the U.S. Trinity River and creek flooding also needs a flood policy to be covered.

What Affects Your Final Price in Fort Worth

  • Pier-and-beam vs. slab: older Fort Worth homes on pier-and-beam have higher crawl space restoration costs
  • Plaster and lath walls: common in Fairmount and Ryan Place, slower to dry and more expensive to repair than drywall
  • Original tongue-and-groove hardwood: can often be saved with floor drying mats if extraction starts fast
  • Crawl space condition: missing or torn vapor barrier and poor ventilation add time and equipment underneath the house
  • Aging galvanized and clay sewer lines: older neighborhoods see more Category 3 sewer backups, which require removal instead of drying
  • Access: tight crawl space entries and raised floors can mean more labor hours than the same leak on a slab

Does Insurance Cover Water Damage in Fort Worth?

  • Covered in most cases: a sudden pipe burst or appliance failure, including water that drained into the crawl space
  • Sewer backups: often excluded unless you added a water backup endorsement. Check before you need it.
  • Not covered: long-term seepage, rotted subfloor from an old leak, and Trinity River or creek flooding without a flood policy
  • Older homes: matching original materials like plaster and old-growth hardwood can become a claim negotiation, so photos before demo matter
  • We photograph original materials: before anything gets removed, so the adjuster sees what was there

Sources: national cost ranges from Angi and HomeAdvisor via Bob Vila; Fort Worth main-break figures from Hoodline; flooding hotspots from NBC DFW; drying guidance from the EPA. Your actual cost depends on an on-site assessment.

Fort Worth Water Damage Prevention Guides

Fort Worth's older neighborhoods need a different checklist than a new build in North Texas. Raised floors, original plumbing, and crawl spaces change where water goes and how long it hides. These checks fit the homes we see most in Tarrant County.

Crawl Space Check, Twice a Year

In a pier-and-beam home, the crawl space is where water damage usually starts and where nobody looks. A flashlight and ten minutes in spring and fall catch most problems early.

  • Look for standing water or mud after heavy rain
  • Check that the vapor barrier covers the soil and isn't torn or bunched up
  • Look for white fuzz or dark staining on joists and the subfloor
  • Make sure foundation vents are clear in summer and covered in a hard freeze
  • Check that downspouts and grading send water away from the skirting
  • Call for a moisture reading if floors upstairs feel soft or smell musty

Older Plumbing Warning Signs

Homes in Fairmount, Ryan Place, and the Near Southside often still run original galvanized supply lines and cast iron or clay sewer pipe. These corrode from the inside and usually give some warning first.

  • Rust-colored water when a tap first opens
  • Water pressure that keeps getting weaker over a few months
  • Drains that gurgle or back up in more than one fixture
  • Damp spots or rust stains on pipes in the crawl space
  • Sewer smell under the house or in the yard
  • If one galvanized section failed, get a plumber to look at the rest

Freeze Prep for Raised-Floor Homes

During Winter Storm Uri, pipes in raised-floor homes froze fast because cold air moves freely under the house. A little prep before a hard freeze protects the lines most exposed.

  • Wrap supply lines in the crawl space with foam pipe insulation
  • Close or cover foundation vents when temps drop below freezing
  • Know where your main shutoff is and make sure it actually turns
  • Drip faucets on exterior walls overnight during a hard freeze
  • Disconnect hoses and cover hose bibs before the first freeze
  • After a freeze, check the crawl space before turning the water back on
