Water leak in the upstairs caused clear water stains in multiple rooms. Texas water doctor came out right away and was super helpful. Once here walked me through everything. Gave me reassurance everything will work out. Super professional, empathetic to my stress, more importantly had the personal touch getting more involved in helping remedy the situation vs the other guys how checked a few places and were in and out.

They do a great job, they are very knowledgeable about working with the insurance company and FEMA. I had called them when I had a few properties damaged from Hurricane Beryl and they were very meticulous in their work and had a quick turnaround for the job. They also have always been promptly responsive with any questions about the project. I had tried to call other companies but they gave me the runaround with quotes once I told them I was working with FEMA, but not these people. You can definitely call them for help in any area of Dallas or Houston and you will get great service. I used them for Houston, but they are located in Dallas. I would definitely try if you are in any other area of Texas as they may have service there as well.

Allen WATER RESTORATION & DAMAGE EXPERTS

  • Fast response, house or office: Allen’s full of family neighborhoods from the 90s and 2000s build-out, plus a real corporate presence around town. I show up fast for either one.
  • Equipment sized to the job: A flooded office break room and a flooded family room need different approaches. I bring the right one.
  • IICRC-certified, and I’m the one who shows up: No rotating crew, no call center — you get me.
  • One team, start to finish: Extraction through repair, no handoffs partway through.
  • I handle your insurance company: Residential claim or a commercial one — I document it right and deal with the adjuster directly.

Our Proven Water Damage Process

  • I assess the property first: House or office, I walk the space and figure out exactly where the water went before I touch anything.
  • Water comes out immediately: Pumps and extraction equipment go to work right away — standing water doesn’t get time to spread.
  • Full drying, not a surface pass: Air movers and dehumidifiers reach the spots you can’t see — subfloor, wall cavities, wherever it traveled.
  • Sanitize what got wet: I treat every affected surface so contamination doesn’t turn into a mold problem down the line.
  • Restore it properly: Repairs completed, property put back together — not just dried out and left for you to finish.

If the water’s been there more than 48 hours, check for mold. Our Dallas mold removal services cover Allen and the rest of Collin County.

Allen Water Damage Restoration Cost Guide

Figures use Angi and HomeAdvisor national data. Allen has about 41,700 homes with a median value of $523,100 (Census ACS 2024), so most jobs here involve newer slab houses with mid- to upper-range finishes.

U.S. Average Project

$3,455

Typical range: $1,305 – $5,707

Cost Per Square Foot

Allen Pricing by Water Category

Category 1 — Clean Water

Water Heaters / Irrigation Lines

$3.00–$4.00 / sq ft

In Allen, clean water usually comes from a failed water heater in the garage or attic, a burst irrigation backflow line, or a frozen pipe on an exterior wall.

Category 2 — Gray Water

Dishwashers / Washing Machines

$4.00–$6.50 / sq ft

Dishwasher and washing machine failures are the usual source. Gray water that sits under kitchen cabinets for a weekend needs sanitizing before anything is rebuilt.

Category 3 — Black Water

Sewer Backup / Storm Intrusion

$7.00–$7.50 / sq ft

Sewage backups and storm intrusion. The March 2019 Collin County storm caused an estimated $300–400 million in damage, and insurers reported claims from Allen, McKinney, and Frisco.

Allen Costs by Location

Bathroom

Up to $3,000

Most Allen bathroom losses trace to supply lines, shower pans, or toilet seals. Upstairs bathrooms in two-story plans can damage the ceiling and drywall below.

Walls / Drywall

$300–$800

Typical for limited repairs. Full replacement is about $1.50–$3 per sq ft, and insulated exterior walls hold moisture longer.

Flooring

$200–$500

For floors that can be dried and kept. Hand-scraped hardwood and laminate over slab are common in Allen; laminate rarely survives a soak.

Slab / Foundation

$1,000–$4,000

Expect roughly this for the slab-leak plumbing repair alone. Allen’s 2000s and 2010s slabs sit on clay that moves, which can stress pipes where they enter the slab.

Burst Pipe Damage

$1,000–$4,000

Repairing the pipe itself usually lands here. Attic and exterior-wall lines are the most exposed in a hard freeze, so they fail first.

Whole House / Major Flooding

$20,000+

Class 4 jobs, with standing water through walls and subfloors, run $20,000 and up nationally. Storm flood damage needs a separate flood policy.

What Affects Your Final Price in Allen

  • Home age: Allen's 2000s and 2010s subdivisions have plumbing entering its higher-risk years, and failures are getting more common across the city
  • Blackland Prairie clay: seasonal soil movement stresses slab penetrations and supply lines year-round, not just during freezes
  • Engineered hardwood flooring: common in Allen's newer homes, more vulnerable to water than solid wood, and often needs full replacement
  • Upstairs bathrooms and laundry rooms: second-floor leaks mean ceiling drywall and insulation below, not just the floor where it started
  • Irrigation and pool lines: Allen's bigger lots run more exterior plumbing that can push water toward the slab edge
  • How long it ran: a dishwasher leak found three weeks later costs far more than a burst line caught in an hour

Does Insurance Cover Water Damage in Allen?

  • Generally covered: sudden events like a supply line failure, water heater burst, or appliance hose break
  • Often covered: the cost to cut in and reach a hidden leak (tear-out and access), even when the pipe repair itself isn't
  • Not covered: slow leaks, wear and tear, and flooding from Rowlett Creek or Cottonwood Creek without separate flood coverage
  • Loss of use: if your home can't be lived in during drying, many policies pay for temporary housing. Ask your adjuster early.
  • Daily moisture logs: go to the carrier along with photos, so the claim moves on facts instead of back and forth

Sources: national cost ranges from Angi and HomeAdvisor via Bob Vila; Allen housing data from Census Reporter (ACS 2024); 2019 storm estimate from the Insurance Council of Texas via FOX 4; drying guidance from the EPA. Your actual cost depends on an on-site assessment.
